1. Who may use Hushload
You must be at least 18 years old, or the higher age of majority where you live if that age is higher. Hushload is intended for adults. The installer and the first launch of the application both require you to confirm this and to accept these terms before any feature becomes available.
2. What Hushload is
Hushload is a Windows application that runs on your own computer. It reads publicly available information from a source page you choose and writes a file into a folder you choose. It has no server component: no media, link, title, filename, folder path, or download history is transmitted to the operator, because there is no operator infrastructure capable of receiving it.
3. Permitted use
You may use Hushload for lawful, personal purposes to save media that is publicly accessible and that you own, that is in the public domain, that is offered under a licence permitting your copy, or that you have explicit permission or another valid legal basis to copy.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use Hushload to infringe copyright, neighbouring rights, image rights, or privacy rights; to redistribute media unlawfully; to obtain material depicting minors or any content whose possession or distribution is unlawful where you are; to obtain non-consensual intimate imagery; to access private, paid, subscription, or account-restricted material without authorization; to use credentials that are not yours; or to act contrary to applicable law or to a source platform's binding terms.
You must not attempt to make Hushload circumvent a technical protection measure, an access control, an age-assurance mechanism, or a geographic restriction, and you must not modify or combine it with other tools for that purpose.
5. No grant of rights
Hushload grants you no right in any third-party media. The operator cannot determine, and does not verify, whether a given use is authorized. Each link you submit and each file you keep is your decision and your responsibility.
6. Regional availability and local law
Whether a page is reachable, and whether saving a copy is lawful, depends on where you are and on rules that change independently of this application. Hushload only reaches what your own connection can already reach, and it does not work around a restriction. Determining what is lawful for you is your responsibility.
7. Updates
Hushload checks for cryptographically signed updates and applies them. This is a safety mechanism, not an optional convenience: it is how a security fix or a corrected source integration reaches every installation. Update checks contact a public code-hosting endpoint and transmit no information about your links, files, or activity. Continuing to use the application means accepting that it keeps itself current.
8. Availability and changes to the software
Public sources may change, throttle, or remove formats at any time without notice. Compatibility is tested for the platform identified as release-tested and is not guaranteed for platforms marked Beta. Download functionality shipped in version 1 remains available at no charge; any future paid offer would add services rather than remove existing ones.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms carry a version identifier. If they change materially, the application presents the updated terms and requires acceptance again before further use. Continuing to use Hushload after acceptance means you accept the version presented to you.
10. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hushload is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. No promise is made that any particular source, page, format, or file will work, or that operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for loss of data, loss of profit, or loss of goodwill, arising from or connected to your use of Hushload. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
12. Your responsibility for your use
You are responsible for the links you submit, the files you keep, and the use you make of them. To the extent permitted by applicable law, and where you are not acting as a consumer, you agree to hold the operator harmless from third-party claims arising out of your unlawful or unauthorized use of Hushload.
13. Third-party components
Hushload bundles third-party open-source components. They remain governed by their own licences, which are listed on the licences page and shipped with the application. Nothing here modifies those licences.
14. Termination
You may stop using Hushload at any time by uninstalling it. Because the application runs locally and requires no account, the operator has no ability to suspend an individual installation; the operator may, however, discontinue distribution or updates.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force and the unenforceable provision is applied to the greatest extent permitted. These terms, together with the privacy notice and the copyright policy, form the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding Hushload.
16. Governing law and forum
These terms are governed by French law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts competent there.
